Conservation action plan for a wild bird of prey

The work of falconers is vital for successful raptor conservation efforts. Working with captive bred birds of prey allows falconers to understand wild birds of prey. Falconry techinques help rehab wild birds with much greater success. Falconers can build fitness in injured birds before release, feed correct and natural varied diets and advise on the needs of birds in breeding programs. Many of our native birds would be struggling to exist without the unique insight of falconers.
